Great food, fish, pork chops and beef Wellington very good. Usually make reservations inside if wanting to have a discussion with her friends. Usually outside somewhat louder.

Off of a side street in Cape Coral is this interesting named place. We heard that the Friday Fish Fry was "the best" but it wasn't Friday so we ordered off of the menu. I had the Halibut Panini with fries, which is one of three side you can get along with coleslaw and potato salad. More on the food below. The host was cordial and sat us quickly outside given it was a nice night out and why not enjoy the outdoors. The only reason they're getting a 4 star is because they allow smoking in the entire outside area which, for non-smokers, is a huge miss. The waitperson was fantastic, always happy when she returned to our table. The order was spot-on, no issues. The food was brought to our table in a reasonable timeframe, it was hot and fresh. The other two people in our party of three had the Halibut Sandwiches deep fried with coleslaw. The food quality was good, if not excellent, my "World Famous Blackened Halibut Panini was very good, the fish was moist and tasty. The blackened flavoring was very very mild. The panini was soft on the inside and grilled well. I had the French fries, and they had a coating. They were also good; they didn't come loaded with salt which was really nice. The others deep fried Halibut sandwiches with coleslaw were very good, one comment was the bun had too many sesame seeds. The coleslaw was creamy and delicious. The food cost is very reasonable especially given the size of the fish filets.

We came for a dinner after hearing from others rave reviews & they did not disappoint. Our group of 6 sat in the outside dining area & at first we were a little apprehensive about being so close to the stage. However, our server, Lindsay, was awesome & told us she would be happy to move us if need be. We tried some of her recommendations- the prime rib & Ribeye steak. Everything was delicious. They even turned the game on for us. The manager, Gene came by & chatted about Wisconsin. Drinks were great! Mai tai & Captain Punch delicious! Can't wait until our next trip back down!

The entrees are so delicious that our group has become regulars. The service is always excellent. We've been sitting inside so we can make reservations as there are always 5 to 8 of us and it is air conditioned. All employees have been have been polite. Watch the Breeze newspaper to get a free bottle of wine with the purchase of two entrees. Whenever we go, the outside (which is first come/first served) is packed. We've eaten outside once and our service was good but it is hot, loud and buggy during the summer. The entrees have been consistently good...the rum painted grouper, the salmon wellington, the cajun seafood are excellent. The steaks are okay (we tend to eat steak at home because we like them rather thick). The prices are good for the portions you get.

Vacationing in Cape, went to the Monkey for dinner on the recommendation of the nearby hotel. And they were RIGHT! The Filet was amazing, well seasoned and cooked to perfection! The portion was correct and the Garlic Mashed tators were pretty good too. Some grilled veggies also were a treat. Service was great, so much so that I went back the next nite, and no complaints at that visit too. Even met some great people that invited me to dine with them as I was a solo and it was standing room only. Great time all in all!

The food is above average but the prices are great. Really good entertainment on patio most nights. Steaks are surprisingly good for a place like this.

So we were 5 minutes late for our reservation. The server who greeted us was really nice ,and then an older man came over and rudely told us he canceled our reservation. The place was half full, but whatever. Then he starts slinging six menus on a table. We stand there dumbfounded as it's just me and my husband. Thank goodness he was not our server. We had Jafe and he was awesome. The seafood was very good and they make a mean Pina colada. I had a grouper wrap and it was delicious but immense. The inside dining is very sedate in comparison to the outdoor bar area where it is definitely more rowdy and they do offer live music. Definitely a place to relax and unwind.
